In the morning, we had some spooky literacy centers and read some favorite Halloween stories! They also decorated pumpkins and played math number and shape recognition games. Children worked cooperatively to build ramps to see how far they could make an apple roll. With the help of our room parents, we were able to have our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) activities for a Halloween celebration. We had a very pleasant and fun day yesterday full of Halloween inspired learning activities. I hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween last night! Purdin and Shalane were in the same high school class! it’s awesome to see her achieve a dream she’s had for a long time and to come back to do some good in our hometown. Purdin did “run” into someone famous over the weekend, NYC Marathon 2017 winner Shalane Flanagan at the “Back the Track” event in Marblehead.
